OUR IMPACT

Climate

  • Eco-built classrooms with use of locally available natural materials (e.g. unbaked clay, wood, reeds)
  • Construction of school courtyard (including covered courtyard, sanitary facilities, fences, etc.)
  • Set up of organic vegetable gardens with drop-by-drop irrigation system 
  • Skills tranfers on eco-building between local and international craftsmen and architects.
This eco-building mixes :
  • Traditional skills on rammed earth and adobe (i.e. bricks made of clay and water, casted then dried in the sun) 
    • Modern techniques of thermal inertia and energy efficiency such as ventilation, insulation and positioning of buildings.
